Beloved Community
We make a concerted effort to love one another as the Body of Christ. We believe Jesus when he told his disciples that the world would know God by the way they loved each other (John 13:35), so we seek to glorify God through our relationships with one another. To this end, you will find that we work hard to incorporate our members in every aspect of our church’s life and strongly encourage meaningful fellowship outside the walls of our building as well.
Kingdom Builders
We are passionate about the Great Commission: to go and make disciples (Matthew 28: 16-20. We endeavor to be used by God as disciple-makers, not by coercion nor by providing a lot of “bells and whistles,” but instead by modelling the profound joy and fulfillment that we find in our relationship with Jesus Christ.
Hanging of the Greens
Save the date and plan to join us for Hanging of the Greens! Saturday, November 29th , we will decorate the church for the holiday season. We hope you will all plan to join us for this family friendly event!
Rent-a-Student Fundraiser
Hannah Wylie is hosting a fund raising opportunity to help the intervarsity kids get to Urbana 25! Do you have an odd job you haven’t gotten to yet, something you don’t want to do? Rent-a-student, pay what you can, could be your answer. For the next month, you can reach out to Hannah Wylie at 219-299-6790, let her know what job you are needing done, and how many helpers you’re looking for. Donations go directly to Intervarsity and will be distributed to the students from there!
Congregational Meeting
Mark your calendar for our upcoming Congregational meeting. We will meet after service on Sunday, November 23rd. We will have a potluck, and childcare! The main course will be provided.
South Side Christmas Store
We are so excited to be able to partner, once again, with CLDI on their South Side Christmas store. We are looking to collect new, unwrapped gifts to be sold at a dramatically discounted rate to the students and parents at the South Side Christmas Store. To donate, bring your gift and put them in the large wrapped box in the sanctuary through Sunday, December 1st.
Kid's ministry volunteers needed
We are continually blessed with the growth of our children’s ministry! As we serve and care for them well we want to honor our policy of having more than one caretaker per classroom. Please contact the office if you would like to talk about joining our children’s ministry teams!
