Outreach


Ministry at our Doorstep:
While many churches go looking for ways to serve, the Lord brings ministry to our doorstep each morning. As a downtown church, our location offers us the privilege of serving many low-income and homeless people. This is not a one-way service street; we strive to incorporate everyone into the Body of Christ so that each person serves and receives the service of others in the Body of Christ. Everyone finds relationship and everyone has a role within the body.

Strategic Partnerships:
We certainly don’t need to reinvent the ministry wheel. Instead, we find Kingdom-minded partners whom God is already using and then meaningfully partner with them to carry on the work of the Kingdom. Think of us as the reserve troops of the Kingdom, filling in the gaps and serving these ministries in a capacity-building manner. We purposely limit our ministry partners in order to be of tangible service. Click on a picture below to find out more about our partners:


Local Partners

The Community Crisis Center serves those in our community who are seeking crisis services for mental health, substance abuse, and/or social service needs. They also provide drop-in services, emergency shelter, case management, and medical screening free of charge.

CLDI is a faith-based community development center that serves Billings' South side. Their key areas of focus include housing, youth mentoring, vocational training, and transitional living for mothers. CLDI's mission is to manifest the Gospel in order to see the community thrive spiritually, financially, and relationally.

In close partnership with local churches, Family Promise serves homeless families in Yellowstone County by providing shelter and other basic needs. They also help with case management, transitional living, and life skills.

InterVarsity Christian Fellowship exists to disciple students and faculty within Montana's post-secondary institutions. They serve as both a frontline ministry introducing people to the Gospel and as a place for discipleship and Christian community for those looking to deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ.

Love and SONshine Ministries seeks to provide homeless pregnant or parenting young women with safe, loving housing and Christ-centered life-changing programs and educational opportunities to help them become self-sufficient. They currently have a residence next door to First Christian where homeless teenage mothers can provide a safe and loving environment for their children while learning to be self-sufficient parents.

Global Partners

Located in the fishing village of Mbita, Kenya, Christ's Gift Academy provides quality Christian education to orphans and other vulnerable children throughout the region and assist local families with basic needs such as food and clothing. The school also employes many people from the region in order to provide a living wage to many of the families they serve.

Edengate is a faith-based organization in Ireland that offers Christian travel and exposure opportunities in order to fund and facilitate church planting and pastoral training throughout all of Ireland. They also organize Kinfire, an annual interdenominational conference for church leadership in Ireland.

The Kathryn Kelley Memorial Charitable Society is a non-profit, non-government organization serving the people of North India. They provide medical clinics, life skills training, and emergency relief in the most remote and hostile regions of the world.
